The Project

Discovery in a sea of images

Street Lens aims to create community discovery by finding little nuggets of interest and reshaping footage that was originally documentation of 3D space into artistically composed images.

The Inspiration

This project was inspired by the Agoraphobic Traveller, an artist who uses Street View to explore the world and find beauty in the overlooked corners of it.

The Idea

Photographer meets world, viewer meets photographer

Street Lens attempts to create global connections by exposing people to parts of the world they may never have a chance to visit in reality. It then offers tools to capture their view of the location. By allowing people to explore the locations where images were composed, Street Lens creates a direct connection between the original eye of the capturer and the viewer.
